Formally educated in photography, Peter Hodgson concentrates on an abstract interpretation of the everyday. By looking at the familiar with an original eye he creates images of stark and minimal beauty. His work shows how the commonplace can become unique.
Being involved with photography in a very practical sense of the word, Peter is not bounded by the technicalities of certain techniques – the image, the final effect is the most important.
Peter’s work has been published by a number of regional and national publications.

“The exception that proves the rule is Peter Hodgson…who records a series of striking and considered black and white images, revealing a highly developed feeling for off-centre compositions and stark contrasts of light and deep shadow”
The Birmingham Post
“Peter Hodgson… poses questions that a viewer cannot begin to answer”
